Ulduar Magic

About a month ago, almost to the day, I quit World of Warcraft. May seem a little silly to some, or dumb, and call me a geek (that’s what I am!)…but this game ate up a year and a half of my life. And I finally walked away from it on May 3, 2009.

I had thought about quitting many times, as I am sure every WoW player thinks about at least once. But every time I got close, I would think “I can’t quit, what about my toon? What about my guild? What about all of the unreal objects that I have collected and become so attached to?” And then I would continue playing. And continue to lose those precious details around my real life. They were all fading away.

It was like a black hole. I was caught in the centripetal spiral. Further and further in I went. I was really losing sight of my artistic passion in life. Until I met a friend 6 months ago. We became the best of buds on WoW. From quests to raids, battlegrounds to fishing, we did everything together. We were inseparable. Then one day, they told me they wanted to quit WoW and pick up the broken pieces of their life. So we planned for the last day on WoW together and then they were gone. Just like that. So I quit that very same day. That was the best decision I have made in the last year and a half.

And it is you I have to thank, for giving me my life back.

Enough of the sentimental stuff! I am free now! I have so much time on my hands, I almost don’t know what to do with myself. I’m very proud of walking away from World of Warcraft…and I’m going to have lots of new paintings from all this time I now have.

And to all you World of Warcrafters:

Put that mouse down! Take your left hand off the keyboard! Do eet! Do eet now!

   Rawr! I will never quit muahaha QQ i know that i should and i tell myself i should everyday, but i needs somethin ta do!!

   I love my Anda lol and miss you more than a crack addict in rehab missin his nose candy…im proud of you but you better keep in touch
