I’m totally excited about the 30 days project I’ll be participating in and all of the new art that will come out of it. This was exactly what I needed to get me motivated this summer. As this is my main hub, I’ll be posting a new work here everyday.
District 9’s little known director, Neill Blomkamp is about to become the biggest name to hit Hollywood overnight. Thanks to his unbelievable full length version of Alive in Joburg, District 9. And to you Microsoft, you should have kept Blomkamp on the Halo project…
I went to see District 9on Friday at 7:30. Wondering why my boyfriend and friend were able to meet our other friends (all 10 of them) who had been saving seats, basically walked into a rather quiet theater (almost unheard of in NYC) which was not full to capacity and there was no line… Then we sat down and watched what is easily aside from Star Trek, the best movie of the summer. Seriously, this movie kicked ass. Still in a state of best-movie-ever shock, we then left the theater and were greeted with the longest freaking line of people I have ever seen. There was the line I had been expecting to see when we first entered. So we were lucky to choose an earlier viewing time, thus avoiding the noisy, obnoxious movie goers and all the while seeing the best movie of the summer, aside from Star Trek.
See this movie. It’s bloody fantastic. Check out the website, it’s pretty cool and very “Lost-esq”.
Blizzard has released a new app for the iPhone that displays your armory info. Wish they had done this sooner..say three months ago when I had downloaded a crappy no name version of the armory and when I still played wow. In any case, tis about time Blizz, grats!
Blizzard’s app allows you to log into your battle account and access all your armory needs. It has all the same basic armory details as it’s big brother online. It’s a great app and if your addicted to your iPhone like me, you need this app. And the best part, it’s free!! To all the wow addicts out there with iPhones, download Blizzard’s Armory app, it’s hot!
The sixth installment of Harry Potter: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was…Great!
We just got back from seeing the sixth movie in the Harry Potter series and I do believe it lived up to expectations. Although, this film was different from the previous Potter films, in that it led the way to what will be that very last movies ( the 7th book will be divided into two separate films but will be filmed as Lord of the Rings was back to back). It felt more like a transitional film such as The Two Towers, leading us into an opening for the final ending.
As we have grown up, J.K Rowling’s characters in Harry Potter have also grown and both book and film have become darker with each new beginning. The Half Blood Prince was no different and I wasn’t disappointed to sit through an even darker film yet. It had some really beautiful visual affects that are worth sitting through in themselves. This film had less action and more time for the actors to finally display their true acting skills. And what good little actors they have become! I was thoroughly impressed, especially with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint’s performances. They have grown into their acting shoes and really pulled off some fantastic acts. Oh, and what it is to see the hormones flying around as both cast and written characters are now that age. Daniel Radcliff felt the same to me as in every other film…nothing too terrible, nothing too mind blowing. Maybe he just only does fabulous work in the nude (Equus)??? I dunno, but overall I liked this movie and I’d give it three and one half diamonds if I could actually put half diamonds on here…
